A-1 Affordable came to our home to do a chimney inspection and yesterday installed a chimney liner and heater connection in our basement, as Leffler is installing a new boiler next week. Our 65 year old chimney was causing damage to our heater. Our heater service company recommended A1 to install a new liner and ducting to it. They came out promptly and in a short amount of time had a new liner installed. Very pleased with new setup and how clean they left the work area.

My chimney required cleaning and replacement of the liners after a boiler fire. David C. was the staff person who performed the cleaning and replacing all the liners. He explained the problems that were caused by the fire and showed me the damaged items. David was very professional, courteous and very friendly, a person who works very well with customers.

The Team showed up on time. They went directly to work and worked continually for 6 hours. They were very friendly and the one in charge explained things to me. Their workmanship and QUALITY was IMPECCABLE, EXTREMELY CONSCIENTIOUS and all went ABOVE AND BEYOND!!

My Chimney was repaired (practically rebuilt) cleaned and lined. IT LOOKS BEAUTIFUL!

The making of the appointment was flawless. The men arrived on time and were courteous, friendly and responsive. When they finished everything was neat & clean. My attitude towards them never changes. I am always completely happy with their service and professionalism. I recommend them to everyone. This was my comments last year. This year they are the same.

I have more comments because I needed my chimney on the roof fixed and sealed. Two different men came and did a great job. All the compliments I have given in the past and this post all fit these men also. This is a great company with wonderful considerate and professional men. I trust them very much. I am so glad I am their customer.

Always a pleasure to work with A-1 Affordable. This is our second work order, first for masonry repairs on a pair of 75 year-old chimneys and now for a new oil burner flue liner system. Top quality stainless steel liner utilized and thorough clean-up after completion. All done to local code and details of repair provided prior to start of work, including pictures of specific problem issues. Recommended by the oil supply company so billing was through them. Only 3 work days between initial inspection and completion. As usual, company rep calls to verify satisfaction. Not a lot of that kind of follow through anymore. No wonder why the reviews are consistently outstanding! Reliable, efficient, and trustworthy. I would recommend this company for any and all home repairs offered.

After having to evacuate our home due to high carbon monoxide levels, our plumber recommended A1 Affordable Chimney and Roofing service. George (the owner) came to our home within the hour to address our issue, which was a collapsed chimney blocking the exhaust. He was extremely personable, friendly, and showed genuine concern. He explained everything to me in a way I could understand without being condescending (as most specialized contractors are IMO) and we were quoted a fair and reasonable price. His crew came the next day to replace the chimney liner. They arrived on time, were very friendly and professional, considerate of our property, clean and efficient. I highly recommend A1 Affordable

The personnel who replaced my chimney were highly professional, responsive to all my questions, explained what they were doing, and very personable. They took exceptional care to make sure that nothing would be soiled in the home and cleaned up all refuse from the replacement of the chimney. I had to reschedule my appointment, due to issues on MY part, at least 3 times until it finally worked out. Office staff were accommodating and very friendly and understanding every single time. It was amazing. The workmen arrived on time, were very respectful to me and my property, and it seemed like they were done in no time! And then(!), I got a follow-up phone call from Sal to make sure I was satisfied and there were no issuers. Who does that anymore?! He left himself wide open for a bunch of whining and complaining, but he didn’t get that from me. In today’s world, it was VERY REFRESHING to receive such exceptional customer service. I will definitely use this same company again for yearly chimney safety check/cleaning.

A-1 performed the relining of the chimney flue using a ceramic coating after a thorough cleaning. The price was fair. After spending my career dealing with thousands of subcontractors, I must place A-1 Affordable at the top tier of contractors. Their communication was great; they showed up when promised and met all of their commitments. The workers were courteous and very respectful of my wife and me and of my home. They protected the surrounding area and made a difficult and potentially dirty job very manageable with no problems in the surrounding rooms. The A-1 foreman was informative and kept me apprised of every step of the installation. I highly recommend this company. I would gladly use A-1 in the future.

I cannot say enough good things about A-1. Henry (who is a superb representative of the Company) inspected and give me a complete explanation of the necessary repairs for my chimney. The young man with him that day (I did not catch his name) climbed onto my roof (which has a steep pitch) in wet conditions, took photos, examined the chimney's condition, etc. Henry wrote down a complete description of all the work to be completed by the following day's crew. His explanations were clear and precise.

The following day, Abraham and the same young man arrived, introduced themselves and set to work. Again, Abraham was a terrific representative of the Company -- friendly and efficient.

My house is 134 years old. My chimney now has a stainless-steel liner, the chimney has been re-cemented and repaired and a steel cap arrangement installed. A new galvanized steel pipe connects the furnace to the chimney.

Every one of my contacts with A-1 was pleasant. I would recommend them to anyone.

They cleaned my chimney and found it needed to be rebuilt and did a beautiful job it I was pleased with price and the job done It looked like the other on the house and it worked fine They were extremely helpful and professional with my house. These guys worked efficiently, supervisor was present or available for questions and workers were open to any requests. This company was referred by a very good colleague of mine. I would highly recommend A-1 especially David and his crew. They came out to inspect my chimney after I had just had a boiler conversion completed a couple of weeks prior. They found several issues with the chimney, some of which I was aware, but others I was not. They took pictures, showed me the issues, and explained everything fully. They were able to complete the repairs on the same day so that I did not have to make myself available yet another day. I think the price was comparable, if not better than other companies, based on my conversation with a friend who is in construction.

The crew worked efficiently, left the place clean, and the work looked great!

A1 answered my phone call after 4:00 pm and sent men to my home the next day at 8:00am to estimate and then ultimately install a chimney liner. It was required because the water heater became orphaned due to a new high efficiency heating and air install I just had done. Chris quickly estimated my cost and then to my surprise was ready and prepared to install the liner immediately! He had multiple options by price for the repair/install and the price was very reasonable. These guys were TERRIFIC! I am a contractor so my standards are ridiculous. I would recommend this company for anyone looking for their chimney to be lined which around here is pretty common need for older homes.

This company came out (it’s who my oil company sent out for maintenance). Phil was AWESOME!! Not just awesome, but super awesome. He was patient in explaining what was happening, what needed replacing and was awesome enough to show us the pictures. I had a chimney liner put in by A-1. It wasn’t an entirely simple job as they had to enter the chimney (via removing bricks) on the outside to account for the curvature of the chimney itself. They also fixed/repaired some bad work done by the prior owner. Everything looked perfect in the end. These guys are very good. I read a review that was negative because they had to reschedule a person’s appt. This happened to me too, but in the winter, you have to be cognizant of the kind of emergencies that can and will pop up. My chimney liner shouldn’t take precedence over someone having no heat. For example, its’ a big plus that these guys appropriately prioritize emergency situations. I know if I had an emergency, they’ll be here. They take customer service seriously. Thanks again guys!
